Two forms of in-game currency could be purchased for real money: cubits and diamonds. The free version of the game was apparently very grindy, as Korean MMOs generally are. German publisher Gameforge has plucked the game up to give it one last shot. The phrase вЂњdevelopment hellвЂќ has been thrown around, but it just appears to all be optics. Kingdom Under Fire 2 is a Korean MMO, and I simply donвЂ™t see how a Korean gameвЂ™s entire Asian run could be considered a beta. Recent interviews and press releases repeatedly describe this period as a beta and state that the Western release is the actual release, but that appears to be obfuscation. Shortly after, the game popped up in Russia but that too was closed down in March of last year. But in April 2017, it was shut down completely.

During this period, the game was free and featured a lot of identical content to what we have in the current Western release. In late 2011, a closed beta began in Southeast Asia, which is where the game stayed until 2017. Kingdom Under Fire 2, which is actually the fifth game in the series, was announced in 2008. But it makes a certain kind of sense when you dig into its history. But Kingdom Under Fire 2 from publisher Gameforge is the only game IвЂ™ve ever heard of that did things the other way around. Slashing the required initial price to nothing is certainly a great way to get players to give a game a fair shake.

You can download the game from Steam.ItвЂ™s not exactly rare for MMOs to require a purchase or subscription upon release, only to go free-to-play once its userbase dwindles. There are only cosmetic microtransactions in the game, therefore, no pay to win mechanics involved. For this game currently, the basic package seems ok. These versions or packages are called, Hero Package for $29.99, Emperor Package for $49.99 and War God Package $99.99. The game is developed by Gameforge and has 3 different versions to choose from. Maybe getting used to MMOвЂ™s not having amazing graphics is affecting our judgment.

The developers stated that they will upgrade the graphics in the future, but it looks ok for a game that was in development for a decade. It is a good mixture of fun and challenge. After some time you start to feel invincible. The heroes can hack and slash millions of enemies.

Honestly, it did play better and immersed you in the game. RPG side of the game is good but it is not something that we can call great. All of these heroes have unique abilities to use in fights. These are Gunslinger, Spellsword, Berserker, Ranger, and Elementalist. Ther are some frame drops here and there, but not something to worry about. The gameplay feels smooth most of the time. Except at Mount and Blade, but that is much more of an RPG. This is an interesting concept and we did not see this a lot before. In one mission you can be fighting alone, and in another one, you are giving orders to troops. The game also has strong RTS(Real-Time Strategy) elements. Kingdom Under Fire 2 is not an MMORPG in the traditional sense. But of course, it is not a graphic marvel. Honestly, for a game that was in development for so long, it does look ok.
